Well go on, we're sitting around all day in the office, waiting for you to call.. But just in case you read this after office hours.. (which by the way are Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 06:30 pm) we have collected the most frequently asked questions and put them on this page. Together with the most frequently given answers..

Question: Where is mobydisc?

With our service we cover most of Germany. Head office is in Königstein, near Frankfurt Main. But we have branches in Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Munich.

Question: How far in advance do I need to book?

This depends entirely on the date of your function. Saturdays from May to September can be booked out as early as three months, just as New Years Eve. However because of our 30 day free cancellation policy sometimes dates that were booked out become free again. We recommend you call us and we can instantly tell you how busy your date is. You're welcome to make a preliminary reservation for a certain date.

Question: How do I book?

Use the phone or the form at the top of the page to check availabilty. We can usually give you a quote instantly and will send you our free brochure. You can book the DJ by simply giving us another call or by email. You will then receive a letter of confirmation containing all the important details and your personal music request sheet. You are also welcome to use our very own playlist builder. If you change your mind regarding venue, starting time, or anything else, you just give us another call and we will alter the booking. We allocate our staff four weeks prior to your function - that is if you still have four weeks ;)
After the DJ is assigned, he will call you to introduce himself and determine your music taste.

Question: Can I choose a certain DJ?

You have seen and enjoyed one of our DJs before? Sure, just give us a call.

Question: What happens if my DJ gets sick?

Yes, this happens. But this is no need to worry about. Because you've made your booking with mobydisc, you get our emergency service. We always keep DJs in reserve to cover these situations. Your DJ calls in sick in the morning and another professional will take his place so that your party is safe and sound. 

 

Question: How long have you been around?

Mobydisc started way back in the 70's when disco was the rave.. 1990 is when we expanded our business to Germany. But don't worry, the DJs are not that old.

Question: How old are the DJs? 

Most DJs are between 25 and 35 years of age, a few are older. But we try to match age and function type.

Question: Can we bring our own CDs?

Of course you can. However please if you burn them yourself use a program such as Itunes and make sure they come out as Audio CDs.

Question: Can I bring a Laptop or Ipod? 

Yes! All our mobile discos have an extra input for RCA connectors (Cinch) and have a mini jack.: 

Important: Mobile Computers can cause interference due to low power supply. To avoid this make sure the battery is charged. While we can attach any kind of player, we do not accept USB sticks for security reasons.
